WELCOME

Hi, I’m Shay,

About

I am a writer and artist, a keeper of esoteric books and worn tarot decks, someone learning to trust the slower rhythms that call us toward what matters most.

In this season of my life, I am softening into a different kind of attention – one that allows for the pauses between thoughts, the spaces where creativity breathes, and the surfacing of stories that find their way into being. Among these is a children’s book that longs to be written, and a story that walks the tender ground of losing my mother – an irreplaceable landscape of love and loss that shaped me in ways I am still discovering.

Shay of Vancouver exists as a gathering place for what cannot be rushed: reflections on the art that emerges when we stop forcing it, explorations of human consciousness through truthful observation, and encounters with ancient wisdoms that reveal themselves to those willing to look beyond the surface of ordinary life. Here you’ll find my writing, thoughts on creativity, and musings on the mysteries that shape our days.

I am fascinated by the hidden realms co-existing with ours, by the possibility that those we have lost remain in conversation with us, and by the layers of knowledge that have always been present but are rarely acknowledged.

If you find yourself yearning for a life lived with more depth than speed, more soul than strategy, you may recognize something here. This space invites you into the radical act of accepting who you already are, not as a project to be completed or self-improved, but as a presence to be honoured. In the expression of our essential nature: already whole, already complete.

I am not here to advise you on your life, your relationships or your relationship with yourself. That belongs to you. You are already complete my friend, and sometimes we just forget the truth of what is, was and will be.

These are my reflections, my passing thoughts. So mote it be.
